Petition Calls for One Homework-Free Day to Save Student Sanity

Every evening, students across the nation face the same universal struggle: endless homework. While adults enjoy free time after work, kids are still solving math problems at 10 p.m., fueled only by snacks and despair. This madness must stop — respectfully, of course.

The “Homework Liberation Front” is a student-driven initiative demanding limits on after-school assignments. The plan proposes one evening free of homework each week, bonus points for creativity instead of repetition, and emergency snack breaks during study sessions. Education should inspire — not require caffeine IVs.

Supporters believe this policy will boost mental health, family time, and creativity. Critics fear it might lead to mass celebrations, sleep, and happiness — all allegedly “dangerous for academic discipline.” But our movement stands firm: no child left awake after midnight because of algebra.
