Cafeteria Reform Act

Every school day, students approach the cafeteria with a mix of hope and mild fear. Will it be something edible, or another mysterious dish labeled simply as “special”? The time has come to bring transparency, flavor, and basic trust back into school lunches.

The Cafeteria Reform Act proposes clear labeling of all meals, student voting on weekly menus, and the introduction of a “taste test council” made up of brutally honest volunteers. Additional measures include portion fairness (no more tiny servings) and the right to identify ingredients without needing a chemistry degree. Food should nourish, not confuse.

Supporters argue that better meals will improve focus, mood, and overall school morale. Critics worry that students will just vote for pizza every day, but organizers call this “democracy in action.” With enough support, we can finally answer the question: what are we actually eating?
